Quickstart

This walkthrough deploys an app from GitHub, gives it a database, and puts it on the internet with HTTPS.

What you'll have at the end: a public app linked to Postgres.
  1. Open your workspace. Sign in to the dashboard. You start in a workspace with an empty canvas.

  2. Add an app. Click Nodes ▾ → Compute → App, or right-click the canvas and choose Add here. Click the new card to open its panel.

  3. Choose where the code comes from. In the Source tab pick one:

Paste the repository URL and pick a branch. Private repositories need an access token with read access (Workspace settings → Git repositories). Tick Auto-deploy to redeploy on every push.

Code is built with your Dockerfile if there is one, otherwise ZedCloud detects the language and builds it for you (Node, Python, Go, Ruby, PHP, Java and more).

  4. Make it public. In Settings, switch Visibility to Public. New nodes are private until you do.

  5. Add a database. Click Nodes ▾ → Database → Postgres. Drag from the app’s dot onto the database to link them. The app will receive DATABASE_URL.

  6. Deploy. The orange bar at the bottom lists your changes, for example 1 new · 1 link · not live. Click Deploy, check the plan in Review changes, and press Confirm Deploy. Each node shows its progress.

  7. Open it. When the app shows running, its address is in the Overview tab: https://<name>-<id>.<edge domain>.
